Hi @Francesco Casaluce

Columns, statuses and the workflow go hand-in-hand. How you add a status is via the workflow, so you won't be able to add a status without changing the workflow.

I'm not sure why you don't want to change the workflow, but you are able to make a copy of it so that this change wouldn't affect other projects if they use the same workflow.

Hi @Warren

I dont want to change wfs because we dont want to have ad ex "to do" "Progress of to do" "done Of to do" "reopened of to do" . I think that is not the best option of a way to do. Also about the transition from a status to another one.

I am in the same situation as Fransesco - I have created dashboards and some Power BI metrics (as Jira standard dashboarding possibilities are frankly not very good).
Changing the workflow means all metrics have to be re-configured.

If you look at e.g. Azure DevOps, you can select to split a Kanban column into "Doing + Done", and even add your own columns. Each column still reference a default status in the workflow, so it is only the visualization that changes.
Even when multiple teams use the same ADS project & workflow, they can customize their Kanban board, and no high level metrics have to be changed - that's pretty neat.
