In our sprint planning sessions we usually assign around 50 tickets for a two week sprint. We have a 4 person team. Our close rate is around 60%. I am trying to find a better way to estimate workload but it seems almost impossible to gauge how much work is assigned to each team member during planning sessions. It doesnt make a lof of sense to not give a running total so we can see if we are overloading a certain resource. Am I missing something?
Hello Amy,
I'm not sure if you are already familiar with this page, but there is a tutorial here that might help you out at least:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Tutorial+-+Planning+and+Estimating+work+for+an+Agile+team
It lists a few interesting points regarding estimating work that I find to be very good.
I hope this can assist you.
