Sprint Report - Issues Not Completed - meaning of "Status"?

Daniel Pohl October 26, 2022

What exactly is the meaning of "Status" in the Jira Sprint Report "Issues Not Completed" section?

Is this the status of the issue at the moment that the sprint ended?  (this definitely doesn't seem to be the current issue status)

Why does status sometimes have a value and sometimes is empty?  (all Jira issues have a status at all times)Jira Sprint Report - Issues Not Completed - Status.jpg

Hello @Daniel Pohl

Yes, the Status shown there is the Status of the issue at the time the sprint was ended.

I have not seen an issue not have a Status in the report. Perhaps the Status value it had at the time was subsequently removed from the workflow? You could look at the issue history to see what the status was at that time, then review the workflow for that issue type in that project to see if the status is still part of the workflow.

The status of that ticket PL-4116 (which show empty status in the screenshot) was "READY TO DEPLOY" at the moment that the sprint ended.

This "READY TO DEPLOY" status is still part of the workflow.

Any other ideas why the status frequently is missing/empty in our sprint reports?

I do not, and a quick internet search did not reveal any new ideas.
