Sprint Search Field?

Can anyone point me in the direction of information on the search box that is on a Jira Agile board inline with the quick filters, just below the title of the sprint?

It seems to have limitations that the 'global' top nav search does not have. 

This search box will not identify related issues, subtasks, links, comments, etc. 

We have workflow decisions affected by this not finding the results we would expect, but I suspect it's a limitation of the search box itself.

Hi @Bud Herz 

I was unable to find the documentation on this search field, and these two suggestions state it only checks summary and keys:

One work-around for this limitation would be to build a dashboard showing issues based on what you might need to see/query, and the add a link for the dashboard to the project for easy access.

Thanks for the first bits of info on this @Bill Sheboy 
I'll check those out. 

I think even based on these links I need to educate the team to use the other search option(s).
