Hi,
The sprint burndown gadget on my dashboard displays remaining time estimates on the graph. I have recently changed my estimation method to story points:
Is there anything else I need to do to change the estimate method on the burndown gadget? Does 'time tracking' need to be off? It's still useful for my team to log time as well as using story points.
The gadget settings do match the board from the screenshot above, so I'm not sure why it's not displaying story points.
I have the same problem. Is there a solution? This is on premise.
Hi @Marine Redon,
This is weird. I was also able to reproduce this behavior.
There are various solutions or alternatives to this:
#1. Turn off that "Time tracking" option in your board setting. This will make the gadget display Story Points
#2. Use the Sprint Burndown reports from the board instead this limited gadget. This report gives you the option to select the field type for generating the burndown and you can choose story points
#3. Check for an add-on that provides a better burndown chart gadget - if you can consider a payed add-on, look at the Sprint Burndown Burnup Chart gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app. This let's you choose the estimation type, regardless the board configuration.
I hope this helps.
Thank you,
Danut Manda

Thanks for confirming this @Danut M _StonikByte_ . I can't turn off time tracking because my team still finds it useful.
It looks like the gadget is bugged.
I am actually already trialling the Great Gadgets app, so I will be using that instead.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Your settings look like it should be showing burn on story points, so the only thing I can think of is that you are not putting your sprint estimates into the field called story points (as selected in your settings)

Hi @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- when I check the report section and select burndown chart, it displays the correct information with story points. It's only the dashboard gadget that doesn't work as it should.
