Sprint metrics using Looker (data visualization)

I am wondering if anyone has tried to use Looker for visualizing project analytics (scope change, committed vs completed, initial vs final commitment, trending, etc) and if so, how did you get your Jira data into your data lake? 

We already use a number of canned reports and add-ons like Arsenale Dataplane, Agile Velocity, and a few others, but those are limited by what you can place on a dashboard and we want to get into the data more than we are currently able to with those reports.

Any help from someone who has tried this would be greatly appreciated.
