Hi there! I'm trying to add the Sprint option to the Details section of my Subtask and it's not showing up. As far as I can tell, it's set properly in the Project Settings > Subtask section so I'm not sure what else to try - any suggestions? More details below...

Here's what I'm expecting it to look like (this is from a task):Screen Shot 2022-03-11 at 11.25.59 PM.png

Here's how it's set up in Project Settings > Issue types > Subtask:

So far I have:

  • Added Sprint to the Context fields list, hit Save, refreshed an existing Subtask and it didn't show up
  • I started a new Story and added a subtask and it didn't show up

Simple words -"No, agile manifesto say it's for Epic,Story especially, though it doesn't say NO FOR subtask, but the virtue world doesn't iterate it to have for subtask".

Per the view from Nic Brough:

Sprints should consist of story/task level issues. Subtasks are just a way to add some clarity or break the story into smaller bits of work. Regardless of whether you use subtasks or not the full story or task should be completed within the sprint. Now for subtasks and their usage in sprints, they inherit the sprint from their parent. You put a sub-task in a sprint by placing its parent issue in the sprint.  Sub-tasks are a part of an issue, not separate stories in their own right, and hence can only be part of a sprint by virtue of their parent being in it.
