Stats on Dashboard

Kelli Keith March 22, 2022

Does anyone know if there is a way to display custom stats on a dashboard? For example I have 1 filter for the numerator and 1 filter for the denominator. I can display the filter counts separately on the Dashboard, but can I build something that displays the full stat and percentage on the dashboard? For example:

Stat X: 46/99 (46%)

Hi @Kelli Keith

You cannot do that with the out-of-the-box Jira Cloud, dashboard gadgets.

Some possible work-around options are:

  • Use a custom field and an automation rule to divide the fields and then report on that new value.  You will need the automation rule to keep the value updated as changes are made.
  • Purchase a marketplace addon gadget which is capable of doing this reporting
  • Build your own dashboard gadget to do so
  • Perform the reporting outside of Jira, using data export, a web hook, or REST API call to gather the data

Kind regards,
Bill
