Status = Done But Resolution = Unsolved

Spencer Cai July 1, 2022

Hi Support,

we have edited workflow and post function on May 31, adding Resolution's value as " Done“.

May I ask if this post function will take effect to those tickets created before May 31?

for example :

ticket create  on May 20

update workflow on May 31

update ticket status as done on June 4

Will resolution 's value be marked as "Done" in this case?

Thanks

Hi,

The adjustment in the workflow take effect when the transition is performed in an issue (after the adjustment).

The adjustment has no effect on issues where the transition has already been performed.

Hi Marco,

Thank you for your confirmation.

I still don't know why it is.  We edit workflow to have a better project management, but it won't take effect to those created before.

May I ask if there is an operation that we can change Resolution 's value to  "Done"  for those tickets we created before May 31?

Thanks and regards,

Spencer

Hi @Spencer Cai ,

Have you installed the Scriptrunner app on Jira? The built in scripts of this app contain the option Bulk Fix Resolutions.
