Is it true that if you no use the Greenhopper simplified workflow in your scrum project that you can no longer define entry screens to be displayed when transitioning from one state to another?
The reason I ask is that I would like to set up so when a developer drags their story from inprogress to done, an entry screen would be displayed to log their work and possible enter a testing comment for our QA person. If it's not in their face they may forget.
It's kind of true. That is, we wouldn't advise modifying the workflow under GreenHopper, but adding a screen to a global transition should be OK. What you described (adding a specific transition from one state to another) is defintely not going to work because GreenHopper Simplified Workflows always use global transitions (GreenHopper will cease to see the workflow as simplified if you add specific transitions).
In general we expect that people will eventually 'grow out' of simplified workflows and want to configure things like this. So you can just go ahead and copy the simplified workflow, modify it to your needs then migrate the issues to your new workflow (which is no longer simplified).
Thanks,
Shaun
