Stop addition of issues from backlog once the sprint starts?

Hi,

Is there a way to stop the addition of tickets from backlog to a current ongoing sprint? or allow only a particular group to add tickets on an ongoing sprint?

The idea is to not allow team members to add additional tickets once the sprint starts. Hence reducing the amount of ad-hoc tasks. To throw more insight, before a sprint starts, sprint capacity planning is done and based on it tickets are added from the backlog.

Hi Venkatesh.

I understand the permission procedure but what i need to implement is much more of a custom requirement. Currently, EMs, PMs and TLs have the permission, which is fine but I want to setup a condition wherein the said parties cannot add any JIRAs once the sprint starts.

The problem which we are facing is, even the approved/unapproved JIRAs are being picked after the sprint starts.
