Store in a variable the day when the epic's first child issue is assigned to someone

I want to create a rule where using the automation tool JIRA stores in a CUSTOM FIELD the day when the first child of an epic is assigned to someone (trying to catch the STARTING PRODUCTION DAY). 

Does it possible? If so, how can I do?

I think I would tackle it like that:

And in the Edit issue fields action, I'd use a smart value like {{now}} to reference today.

Note: In my example the "single line text" is the custom field.
