Hello fellows ,

Recently I moved from a "time estimation" team format to "story points" format ,

The issue is that Stories & Tasks ,doesn't allow to their sub tasks contains story points , How could it be ? and Why is it happen ?

And is there any way to change it ? or to adopt to a different work method ?

Hi @elad_yonas

The way that Jira works with story points is correct. You estimate the work for a story and give it story points, then you break the story down into subtasks and (usually) estimate them in hours (or days). Those hours on all the subtasks sum to a total which shows on the parent story. You would NOT estimate each subtask and give it story points.

The only way around it, if you still want story points on subtasks, would be to create a new custom field for the subtask types which will show story points, but these will not relate to the parent's story point field at all.
