I want to be able to have a better presentation on issues in a sprint. Therefore, whenever an issue is closed/or finalized, I'd like it to have a strike through in the backlog view so at first glance I am aware that this issue is closed.

I have tried multiple guides, and changed around my workflow several times but have not found succession. Is what I am looking for a possibility, and if so what prerequisites are required and what steps are needed in order to have this ability enabled?

Some guides I have followed:

So you should see a strike-through on any issue in the backlog that has the Resolution field set. If you don't have it set it won't work.

note: this is how it is for Sprints where the active sprint shows in the backlog. If you are using Kanban then likely you are only seeing the left-most column in your kanban board illustrated in the backlog so done issue won't be shown in that case.
