Structure Gantt Chart - Whether "Attribute to Issue Field Effector" exists for cloud.

Hello,

I m using structure Gantt in cloud.

Jira task due date does not get updated after dragging Gantt bar in Auto-scheduling. 

I found the solution mentioned in this post. But I could not find it in cloud version.

Please help how to get this done in cloud.

Hello @Santhosh R Bhat ,

Attribute to issue field is not available at the moment in Structure Cloud.  It may not be what you need though.

If you would like to update the Jira task due date, you can enable "Allow Manual Scheduling" and define "Due Date" as your "Finish Date" in the Structure.Gantt configuration.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes I tried setting "Manual Scheduling" but the problem is when I set the dependencies, the tasks do not get shifted automatically. It only shows error in Gantt, after which I have to move them manually one by one (which is difficult for a project of 6 months or more having hundreds of tasks).

1. Rather I would expect Jira "Start Date" and "Due Date" field to get updated automatically based on the Gantt auto scheduling.

OR

2. I set auto scheduling and prepare my plan in Gantt. Once it is ready there has to be one link/button, on clicking it, all the dates (start date, finish date) from Gantt should be copied to Jira dates (start date, due date). So that I can filter/search based on these dates.

If this does not happen I really have no way to filter the tasks that I planned in next month or after one month. Because in case of auto scheduling, the dates are available only and only in Gantt that can not be filtered/searched or downloaded to excel. Which is totally a blocked situation. The Jira "Start Date" and "Due Date" have no co-relation with my plan in Gantt.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. Suggest a best practice in this case.

Thank you for the additional detail on your goals and expectations.

From your description, it sounds like you would need Gantt Attributes available in Structure and also the Attribute to Issue Field Effector.  Unfortunately, these are not yet available for Structure Cloud. (you correctly inquired about both of these previously)

This would allow for your scenario 2.

Scenario 1 would not be possible based on the concepts behind Automatic and Manual Scheduling.  Specific information on that topic can be found here.

I will add your vote to the two features I mentioned above and will follow up with you here when there is an update to share.
