Struture isn't showing original estimate if its only added on sub-tasks level, how can I fix this?

We are running v7.11 with structure, no other add ons, our guys are estimating their time and loggin work on the sub-tasks, which is rolling up correctly to the tasks.

However, in our structure view when I add a columb for 'Σ Original Estimate' it will not show all tasks as having estimates. (the sum of sub-items box is ticked)

How can I get structure to show these? 

Its the same when I run a JQL search with 'originalEstimate = EMPTY' it shows tasks I know how sub-tasks with estimates and time logged.

Any help would be good.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your question. The sum over sub-items checkbox only works if sub-items are actually in the structure. From your description it seems that sub-tasks are not present in the structure, please, correct me if I am wrong. You can add the sub-tasks by adding Automation+>Extend>Sub-tasks to your structure's generators. 

Please, check if it works for you.

As for JQL, currently JQL cannot pick up Structure-specific values as summary columns, formula columns or notes columns. We have plans to adding such functions, but they are far from completion at the moment.

Thank you for the responce, we do not currently have sub-tasks displayed no. I had hoped it would roll up and show against the parent in structure, without the need to add them, as it bloats the board a little.
