×My Jira project is for a Support Helpdesk and a sub-task issue type is being used. The proejct has 1 Project Role (Helpdesk Role) that contains all the people who can resolve/close issues. However I want only the members of this Helpdesk Role to have the ability to create sub-tasks. No one else can. Is this a configurable option for sub-tasks? I've looked through Permissions Scheme and workflow conditions/validators but can't find any options for this (out-of-the-box).
Thanks,
Greg
Not our of the box. But I guess this was discussed in other threads and some workarounds are available there. See https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/33259/permission-to-create-specific-issue-type

They are for specific groups rather than project role, but I guess it will be of use to you.
