Sub-tasks not showing when I filter by a specific assignee

I have an epic and story that are assigned to one person and sub-task within this story that assigned to another person. When I choose this person in the timeline or backlog this sub-task isn't showing up. Is there a way to fix it?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @BenWade

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Based on the current design, the subtasks will not be displayed in the Backlog or the Timeline since their scope would essentially depend on the parent. You can review this discussion which has detailed information on why the subtasks will not be visible in the Backlog.

We do have a feature request to include the subtasks on the Backlog.

Feel free to drop a comment and vote for it.

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you for your response, Ashish!

OMG, This feature request was created in 2014! I think now I understand why my company decided to switch to ServiceNow.
