Sub-tasks, stories and summing estimates

I've just imported a bunch of stories with sub-tasks - each sub-task has an Original Estimate against it. I gather there's currently no support to sum up the sub-task estimates at story level? 

Ignoring terminology, labelling and methodologies in general, I wanted to sense-check my thinking in 'fixing' this - would it be appropriate to re-import the list but instead of using sub-tasks, use tasks or stories, and convert the original stories to epics?
