I have been subscribing to filters and receiving reports over night. Which works great.
I'd like to be able to subscribe to reporting that includes pie charts etc; information that I can get on dashboards, boards. this would be very helpful with managers who just need to get the big picture.
Is there a similar capability to the subscription to a filter?
Jira dashboards can be exported to powerful PDF documents using the PDF View Plugin.
In addition to manual exports, you can export dashboards automatically then email the document, save that or attach that to a Jira issue.

Sure.
Jira dashboards are definitely not designed for sharing as most of the gadget rendering functionality is in browser, so the server alone won't be able to generate a document. But the use case is definitely there, that's why we at Midori invented creative ways to be able render the dashboards fully in the server. It was quite some efforts, but the results talk for themselves.
(So far we received positive feedback from users.)

@Ed Snow, Cool idea but the subscriptions don't work that way. I recommend building a dashboard for your managers and showing them how to access it. This is going to give them the best experience and more accurate.
You could also take a look at EazyBI. This addon is great for reporting and I seem to remember them saying there was an email function the last time I talked with them. (not positive, you'll want to verify).

So I assume simply pointing the managers to a dashboard doesn’t meet your goal?
