Subtask vs. Task

Hello everyone,

I am going to plan a new epic with stories and tasks.

Is it the same, if I declare one issue as a story (without a subtask) as if I declare it as a task? 

Does it have any consequences for the sprintplanning afterwards?

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Yes, technically speaking - this won’t be a problem. Stories and Tasks are on the same standard issue level hierarchy.
