@Angélica Luz Hi!
Do you know how to activate the button to "create subtasks" within a user story for a scrum classic project - scrum board?
I can create subtasks in the backlog but I need to create them within the user story
look at the options that I have and by the way, I'm Site admin in Jira
Thanks in advance!
Sometimes, this can be because of a required field on the sub-task.
The quick-action button allows sub-tasks to be created with just the Summary populated. To allow for this, it requires optional fields to not be mandatory (apart from Summary, Reporter and Issue Type, which are on by default in a Field Configuration).
So for example, if you have Description as required during creation, the button will disappear.
It will sometimes then be found in the options (3-dots icon) menu - on the far-right of the page instead (look for Create Sub-task).
To check if you have a mandatory field set on your scheme - as a Project Admin:
If a modification needs to made to the Field Configuration, you'll need to be a Jira Admin - and then either select:

@Ste Wright Hi!
Thanks for answering. I was checking if other fields have "yes" but the only ones that have that word are summary, reporter, and issue type.
We have Jira cloud, I don't know what else I could do to make that button appear.
