Survey: Should designers have Plan view edit access?

Is there a best practice for determining who should be granted write access in Plan view? I manage a team of 75 designers, many of whom have joined in the past 12 months and are still acclimating to Jira. Some of them are struggling with the learning curve and have requested write access to Plan view. While I have some concerns, I wonder if I am being overly restrictive. I recognize the value in granting write access to DesOps or PMs, as they create a significantly higher number of tickets. In our environment, designers primarily create Stories and Sub-tasks. I am curious to hear the community's perspective.

Are the survey options, yes, no, and it depends?  I'd say it depends. 75 seems like a lot to be editing the same plans.

Guess my title is a bit misleading. Was hoping for general feedback from the community on who it makes sense to grant write access to, and who it doesn't.
