We are exploring transition of Fogbugz to Jira, one of the challenge is other teams within the organization are using Fogbugz and if one team were to go JIRA, is there an option to sync Fogbugz issue with Jira so that team on JIRA will manage Fogbugz issue from JIRA without having to duplicate issue in these two systems.
Any thought?
JIRA has a FogBugz importer which allows you to import FogBugz cases as JIRA issues. Then each created JIRA issue has a custom field which contains a link to the corresponding case in FogBugz (so you can easily go to FogBugz issue from JIRA). But that's only one-way & one-time synchronization. JIRA doesn't have any auto-synchronization tool to keep the changes synced between to different issue trackers.
Also, if you run import again on the same projects (the same mapping Fogbugz project -> JIRA projects), then the importer will only add new FogBugz cases to JIRA and the rest will be unchanged.
Cheers,
