TM4J/Jira - How can i create a subtask from a failed step in tm4j?

Tm4j currently allows a tester to create a bug or task from a failed test but does not give an option to create a subtask. I want to be able to create a subtask from a failed step. Pls advise

We can create a subtask in Jira and come back and attach the issue to the failed test but i don't want to do that.

When I click the gear on a step in the test script, there is an option to Create Subtask.  Do you not have that option?

I see the Gear and the above options and when i click on  Create Issue, it does not provide an option for me to create a Sub Task which is what we are using to create bugs
