Tailoring information on Version Report - Can you limit the data to certain task types?

Is there a way to limit the data pulled for a Version Report to just Stories, or just Epics?  With Epics, Stories, and Tasks all included, story points are being double and triple counted pushing the completion date far to the right.  Trying to tailor it so it only includes story points for Stories if possible, without modifying the Release field for all of the Epics and Tasks.

• The Version Report is board-specific – that is, it will only include issues that match your board's saved filter.

Thus you can have a filter to fetch only stories and epics and create a reporting board for this purpose as boards are just a view on the underlying issues.
