Hey all,
We have been encountering this annoying problem for a long while now.
We are using Jira work management Cloud.
When changing the start and due dates of a project in the timeline view, very often (80% of the times) the dates will jump back to previous dates after a few seconds.
Sometimes a grey shadow will remain visible at the original dates after making changes (see screenshot below). After refreshing the page, the task will be back at the original dates.
This makes planning in the timeline practically impossible.
I have already checked the history of the task and the history of automation rules. There are no automation rules active and the task history is not showing the changes made to the dates.
Does anyone know what we can do to solve this issue?
Best,
Merijn
Hi @Merijn
Is this happening just for yourself? Or all users on your instance? Is it happening in all Jira Work Management Projects?
It might be intermittent, but it's not happening on my instance. I did find a recent bug report though; worth voting that it impacts you via JWMCLOUD-201
If it's still happening, I'd also recommend contacting Atlassian via https://support.atlassian.com/ for more direct assistance :)

Hi @Ste Wright ,
Thanks for your response. It is happening for multiple accounts on multiple projects in Work management.
The issue occurs most times the dates are changed on the timeline, especially when multiple timelines are changed after each other (which often happens when one thing is delayed).
That bug report has indeed been added by support when I contacted them about the issue.

Hi @Merijn
Sounds like it might be a bug then! Atlassian Support is best placed to assist in that instance.
