Hello, I've got an epic in JIRA and under the epic I have a bunch of tasks.

The epic shows up in the timeline view but the tasks linked to that epic do not even though they have start and end dates set.

Is this a limitation of JIRA or something I'm missing? The project itself is a company software project.

Thank you.

Hi @Gary Williams and welcome to the Community!

In your Board settings / timeline, make sure you have enabled the tick next to child level issue scheduling and also select the right option to represent dates on the timeline:

Hope this helps!

That did it!

Thank you so much for this. I literally spent an hour trying to get this working.

Hi @Gary Williams

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

1- are the tasks showing in the board view?

2- can you please confirm that the filter which your board/timeline reading from is retrieving those tasks?

3- if the answer to the above 2 questions is yes, then i would like to ask you please to provide a screenshot from your timeline view if possible to check any addition filter enabled
