Team field not editable in Child work item table of Parent work item

Hi,

I've add the Team field to the Child work item table according to this article (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/customize-the-child-work-item-table/).

However, I can't edit this field, even though we have the Team field visible & editable on each screen of all child work item types.

Any thoughts or tips to resolve this?

Hi @Vicky Pagnaer 

A sub-task is a part of its parent issue/work item, it is not a separate issue. 

So if an issue/work item "belongs" to a team, logically, any sub-tasks of it do as well, because they're a part of the issue. 

So you can't edit the team.

Hello Marc,

I was talking about Epics and Stories.

We have multiple stories in our Epic, you can see them with the Child work item table as well. And then when I add Team to this table via the "configure fields" option, it is not editable.

On Epic and Story level you can edit the Team field, as any normal field, but only on editing the issue itself not in the table that shows the child issue from an Epic, within that Epic issue.

I understand that you are unable to edit the system field Team directly from the Customize the child work item table

Yes this is not possible directly for this table view. We need to open the work item and then edit the field
