I've been keeping an eye out for the ability to include issues from team-managed projects on company-managed boards, and even though the support doc says they won't show up, I just did a test and they do!
I'm trying to hunt down any communication about rolling out this feature. I'm 90% certain I tried to include a team-managed project in a company-managed board last year and it didn't work, but that's a long time ago, I could be mixed up with something else. I can't find any blog posts or JAC tickets. Basically would like to know how mature the functionality that exists is, ie is it likely to stop working because it's new, or has this been around for a bit and it just doesn't completely work yet? I tested with a Kanban board, maybe that works but Scrum doesn't?
Thanks!
I think that support document is fundamentally wrong. You've always been able to create a board that includes TMP issues, it's all based on the filter. When you can say "Project in (CMP, TMP)", then the board will bring in issues from both projects.
The main difficulty is usually with sub-tasks not appearing correctly or being moveable. I've just create a board that includes three projects, one TMP, one CMP, and a service desk - everything appears fine to me.
