Hi everybody,

We're trying to adopt the Teams feature, but it looks like it is not very useful in Jira Standard, at least not for minimal capacity planning.

I understand Teams is good for planning in Advanced Roadmaps, but that requires Jira Premium.

Can anybody help me to understand what I can do with the Teams feature in the Jira Standard version?

Is it really just that Teams page with the team activity?

Thanks!!

Jobson

Not really much to be honest.

You can group people together and they can set up a pretty team page. It's a very confusing feature and not clear at all where Groups and Teams divert/intersect.

They can also manage their own team which only makes it more difficult for an admin.

I hope to be proven wrong but imho right now it doesn't really bring much extra features.

Thanks! This is helpful. I guess it is only useful if you buy Jira Premium, with Advanced Roadmaps.
