Tempo Planner and JIRA Agile Linking

Prashant Tajne July 9, 2015

HI,

I have following questions with respect to usage + linking of JIRA Agile and tempo planner

a. Can the Sprint / Iteration start and end date planned in Tempo Planner automatically reflect in JIRA Agile sprint start and end date?

b. JIRA Agile burn down chart burns down efforts linearly. When Sprint planning is done in Tempo planner the utilization of team members may not be linear. Can these the burn down chart burn down rate be linked to planned utlisation in Tempo planner?

c. In Tempo Planner V 3.0.1 , when tasks are planned using Planning->timeline or classic screen. Dependencies are not respected. Dependencies are respected in Tempo planner backlog screen.

d. In Tempo Planner V 3.0.1 , issues planned using Planning-Backlog screen are not show in Planning->Timeline, Classic screen.

e. Is there any alternative to Agile classic hour burn down gadget in latest versions of JIRA? The dotted line forecast is missed in latest gadgets.

Many thanks in advance for clarifications.

Regards,

Prashant

Hi Prashant,

Regarding your questions on Tempo Planner:

a.  No, not yet.  But will be available soon.

b. No that's not possible.

c.  Yes, that's true. The sprint/iteration timeline forecasts issues within a sprint/iteration based on assignments.  In the timeline view, issues are not assigned - only planned.

d. See answer c. above.

e. I'm afraid I cannot answer this question
