Hi Community,
I work for an agency and we've recently adopted Jira Cloud as our project management tool with the Tempo add-on for timesheet management. As we're an agency we charge T&M to customers at a resource level. Resources and their rates are defined within a rate card. We have many different rate cards.
Tempo allows us to view & export worklog information via Reports, however, the limitation we've found is that we're not able to report on spend. There appears to be no way to create a rate card for a given project. We're having to export Jira data to Excel and manually calculate the spend (e.g. billable time * hourly rate)
I'd imagine other agencies using Jira would have encountered this issue. I'm hoping someone has a way to resolve this, perhaps another add-on?
You can try using the eazyBI app for Jira. eazyBI has integration with the Tempo apps and there is an option to import additional information into eazyBI from SQL, CSV, REST API, or other data sources.
And then in the eazyBI it is possible to create a report by combining the data together, here is one example on "How to build profit & loss report with additional data import" from eazyBI Community: https://community.eazybi.com/t/how-to-build-profit-loss-report-with-additional-data-import/71
best,

Hi @James_Pilling and @Basil Zakharenko -- Tempo has another app called Cost Tracker to track billing rates on your project:

Hi James! I know it's been a long time - have you managed to find a solution for that? I think we're facing the same reporting problem here
