Tempo report is displayed with wrong issue type in excel export

Ole Henrik Rostad August 5, 2020

I'm building a custom report in Tempo to report hours registered per issue type (see below).  Then Export to Excel. The problem is the issue types are being completely mixed up. An issue with issue type administration in jira can turn out to be either task, improvement etc in the exel report. Issue type Bug in Jira can turn out to be either support, admin, subtask (-New Feature) etc etc. There seems to be no pattern to which type in jira is shown as which type in excel. Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?   report excel.jpg tempo report.jpg

Hi Ole,

from your screenshots I can´t figure out where the problem is. Please note that the Tempo Timesheet report UI (your second screenshot) does NOT display the Jira issue type. So I would need a confirmation when you open a ticket in Jira (e.g. IKOS-219) and send me a screenshot where it shows that the issue type belongs to something else than it is stated in the Tempo excel export.

If you can confirm this as a bug I would also like to know which version (Tempo Timesheets) you are running on
