Tempo: using Powershell/Rest/JiraPS/++ to log time with a custom Work Type?

We're using Tempo & Jira. There's a field called "Work Type" in the Log Time, which appears to be part of Tempo.  I've been using JiraPS which allows me to log time, but doesn't have any way to handle the work type.  Looking in the Work Log events via HTTP, it's not attached to the work log item, so it must be somewhere else.  I found a project on Github that allows you to log time to tempo, so I assume it's possible, but I'd rather deal with one script instead of a script and this other app. 

How can I add the work type programmatically when I log my time? Thanks.
