What is it used for and what feature/functions within Jira are dependent on its value?
I am looking to remove it from my screen, but before I do, I wanted to understand what it is there for and features it supports.
I have only one project that uses Issue level security, so as long as this project's screen scheme as the security Level field, no other projects need this field, given they do not have any Issue Security Schemes defined. Is that correct?
@Bonnie Lopes Hii
here is documentation about issue security. Issue security is very important and useful when you want to restrict issues from browsing and just want some roles or specific user watch these issues (for example account I’d or ...). For more, consider 3 roles in Jira in project a. And in your issue security define 2 levels one is public and another is private. So when you creat an issue like account id you choose private and if your issue is not very important and all can see you choose public.
