The initial status of an issue which converted from sub-task to standard issue

nicky ni January 11, 2012

Hi guys,

The scenario as below:

The project has two workflows one is for bug and sub-task named workflow A,the other is for other issue types named workflow B. Issue in workflow A was created with the initial status "Opened", and issue in worflow B was created with the initial status "to be approved" which is customized.

When a sub-task issue with status "Opened" is coverted to a task (which based on workflow B), JIRA still make the status "Opened" for the task, however "Opened" isn't in workflow B, and to me, it should be "to be approved".

Is that a bug? If not, how could I change the status when converting a sub-task to a standard issue?

Thanks

Nicky Ni

Hi, maybe you need to chage the defaull open status in the workflow B.

so when its initial status will be what ever you want .

remember to do that on a copy of Workflow B, cause even in draft, you can not change the status.
