The limitation of Automation rules

糸井 彩佳 April 22, 2025

I have migrated data to a new tenant (from Jira Cloud to Jira Cloud), but on the new tenant, the automation rule shows "Execution could not be performed because the monthly limit has been reached." This was the first execution on the new tenant, so I would like to know why this error is displayed.

Hi,

Take a look into the automation insights: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/view-your-automation-usage/

You could also try to restrict the automation rule to only a single project and check if the rule is executed.

Hi,

If you have reached the limit of your automations, this means that there are automations running on several projects. In fact, automations running on a single project are not counted in the execution limits.

In addition to consulting the automation usage screen, you can also consult your automation logs to understand which executions have been triggered.
