The workflow is different on Edit

Hello all, 

I have the below custom workflow that was updated from the initial one when I added new statuses through my project.

The question goes here. When I press edit on the above workflow page I then see the below workflow for edit. Does anyone have any idea why?

Did you publish your changes ? It looks like that you edited the workflow but you didn't validate your changes.

Hello Mohamed! 

The upper image is the workflow that is already in use and active. The question is why when i press edit in this active workflow the editable view i get is the second image. I cant understand why I don't have the same workflow to edit no matter if it is still in draft mode or published.

It is how Jira works. Jira keeps the change you made even if you doesn't published them. 

So if you want to edit your workflow but aren't sure what you're doing, Jira will keep your changes and every time you come back to the workflow you're back to the last edit you made.

And if you are sure, just publish your changes or discard them.
