Please, help to find out the reason why team members including though with administrative right cannot access to any board in any project.
Our team works with several projects. And there can be one or more boards in every. From the morning 18 Aug 2020 all the team lost access to the boards. We did not change rights or anything else.
I, as admin, still have the access to tasks thought task manager, but cannot see anything in the project.
What can be the reason for that?
Hi Julia,
Jira was down for many people (if not all) about that time. Has this cleared up now?
Next time something like that happens, be sure to check the systems status here:
What exactly does a user see when attempting to access a board?
Can the users use the Search Issue feature to find issues in the project(s)?
Can users use links to individual issues to display details of the issues?
There are several items to check to ensure adequate permissions.
1. Has the permission scheme assigned to the project(s) been changed? Check in the permission scheme to see which users/roles/groups have the Browse Project permission.
2. Has the composition of group members changed? For the roles/groups that have Browse Project permissions, are the users assigned to those roles/groups?
3. In order for a user to be able to see a board, the filter on which the board was based must be shared with users. Filters can be shared with specific user groups and/or with Projects and some or all Roles in the project. Are the board filters shared appropriately?
