Time Tracking permission

Hi. Can anyone help me to elaborate more on each permission item under the time tracking permission?  the picture is shared below. My intention is to limit people to modify their logged time in JIRA.

Hi Amila, in this case, you should give them

• Work On Issues (permission to log time to issues)
• Edit Own Worklogs (they can edit their work logs)
• Delete Own Worklogs (they can delete their work logs)

The "Delete Al"l and "Edit All" would allow you to delete and edit work logs from other users, and I understand you are trying to avoid it. Also, make sure Time Tracking is turned on in the system.

Thank you for your reply. I've another question here. If I didn't have any time tracking plugin, are they still able to log their hours?

Yes, Jira has an out-of-the-box time tracker. You can enhance this feature using 3rd party apps.

I want to ask if, with the 'Work On Issue' permission disabled and the 'Edit' permission enabled,  can I still able to  edit worklogs.

because the UI does not allow this, does it mean that I should not able to edit worklogs?
