Time to Recovery initiation

Chris Bickley January 21, 2025

Our Incident project is currently configured such that both Time to Response and Time to Recovery are initiated on the creation of an Incident.

Is it possible to change it such that Time to Recovery is initiated on the expiry of the Time to Response target?

E.g. If the Time to Response target is 1 hour and an Incident is created at 14:25, Time to Recovery would be initiated at 15:25

Hi @Chris Bickley

It seems that is not possible out of the box. There is no condition to start a SLA when another SLA ends.

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/create-service-level-agreements-slas/

The conditions are only based on statuses, resolution, assigned/unassigned, comments, and issue created.

There might be a third party app like this that could help( this one can run based on a custom field)

SLA Time and Report for Jira (Define & Track SLA goals)

A good workaround will be to create another STATUS called  Time to Recovery and use the  Time to Recovery SLA on that status.
