Hi,
I m using the version 7.7 of JIRA.
I'm in a Stroy ,Sub-Tasks formalism.
For each Strory, I create many Subtasks.
My problem is about TimeTracking with my story.I m not using story point but using classic Time (Days, Hours,...).
I would like when I log time spent on subtask, this should have an impact on the story.
Example :
The Remaining of the Stroy should be 1w. But it's not what happened. The remaining of the story doesn't change.
What I m doing wrong ?!
Basically, When Someone Log time in SubTask Of a Story, I suppose it decrements the remaining time of the whole story.
Thanks for help.
Hello Oueslati,
Can you please confirm if you are using the new or the old issue view of JIRA?
JIRA old issue view has a flag option called Include Sub-tasks in the time tracking field of Stories that allows you to sum the sub-tasks time tracking to the parent Story:
However, this flag option only displays this information in the issue view, not applying it to your board reports.
To apply the sum of sub-tasks in the board estimation and reports, we have opened a suggestion with our development team:
- Sum estimates from sub-tasks in user stories
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
Let me know if this information helps, Oueslati.
Hello @Petter Gonçalves
Thank you for your answer.
I confirm that I m using an old version of JIRA. I will vote for your suggestion.
Do you think it's possible to get the remaining time to make a release? (With this old version of the JIRA) ?
I have fed the release field of each Story, however the repport version gadget does not work, I would like to know the remaining time of a release.
Thank you in advance for your answer
