Hey guys,
I'm working on a marketing project using the classic scrum template in Jira Cloud. I'm at the point where I need to construct a workflow system that suits their needs in regard to project management. I also need to keep track of the amount of time per month spent on certain projects. To go into further detail:
--------------------------------------------------
For the workflow, we want to start off with creating tasks based on job type (Ads, Social Monthly, Email, Press Release, Analytics, etc.). Next, we want it so that these jobs (more specifically, the components of each job) are done in a certain sequence. For instance, if we create an issue indicating us starting work on the "Social Monthly" job, we want it to flow through its components in the order of: [Job Management -> Research -> Strategic Planning -> Creative Development -> Copywriting*** -> Layout and Design -> Programming -> Digital Production -> and lastly, Proofreading].
Notice that I underlined and put asterisks on Copywriting. For Copywriting, when that component is done, it has to go through subsets of approvals (1st, 2nd, and Final Approval) before moving on to the Layout and Design component. How would I make it so that this is possible to depict in the workflow?
Any other tips that anyone can provide would help a bunch.
--------------------------------------------------
For the time tracking, the Marketing Manager wants to see how much time was spent for each job/job component to be completed per month. At the end of each month, we want to conduct this analysis in order to make tweaks as needed for the amount of time needed for each job component. Now I sure there's probably a report that I could pull up in "Reports" that might answer my question, but if there's a better way anyone out there knows of, I'm all ears.
--------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the help and if you need me to clarify anything I mentioned earlier, let me know.
