Hello Team,

Is there a option available in Jira report or gadget where I can create a dash board so that I can see total hours spent by each user in a sprint.

I tried to search using existing gadget but not able to find a relevant one.

Can you please help.

Thanks,

SP

Hi @Swapnil Patil

welcome to the community!

If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, this would be easy to do using the app that my team and I are working on: JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your work items (issues) that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your work item fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel, Google Sheets, Smartsheet, or Airtable. It also comes with a long list of advanced features, including support for work item grouping by any work item field(s), and sum-ups.

With these, you can build a view like e.g. this in just a couple of clicks:

sprint-assignee-report.gif

This is really just one of a virtually endless number of possible views and reports; you can also view and group by any other issue fields, configure different sum-up styles, etc. etc.

I should also add that JXL can do much more than the above: From support for configurable issue hierarchies, to conditional formatting, or inline bulk-editing via copy/paste.

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Hannes

Hi @Swapnil Patil

Welcome to the community !!

If you are open to try out alternate apps for logging hours and detailed time tracking reports, I can suggest the one we have developed

Worklogs Time Tracking in Jira & Timesheets

With this add-on, you can easily add the worklog authors and time tracking reports as a dashboard gadget. Main features of the app -

  • Create time reports in real time by grouping & categorizing data with aggregation
  • Prepare your reports based on Project/Sprint/Issue Type/Assignees and various other filters
  • Group your data to build more meaningful reports
  • CSV Export
  • Dashboard gadget
  • Enter Time Spent for multiple issues from Time sheet screen. With Calendar view and Board view

Hey @Swapnil Patil

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

We don't have built-in reports or dashboard gadgets to meet this requirement. You may explore Marketplace apps that offer extended reporting functionalities and dashboard gadgets.

Thanks!

Hi @Swapnil Patil ,

You can use for that the app I developed - Multi-team Metrics & Retrospectives.

To accomplish it, you can create custom metrics using jql per engineer. Please check the screenshot below (on the same screenshot you can see the metric dynamics between the current and previous sprints as well):

Also, you can check the summary of metrics:

Hi @Swapnil Patil

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Natively, Jira does not have any reports or dashboard gadgets to count the total hours spent by a user in a sprint.

However, you can make use of the Atlassian Marketplace app that has these options, such as our Worklogs - Time Tracking, Time Reports, Timesheets app, developed in-house by our team at SolDevelo.

With Worklogs, you can easily filter the time spent by specific Jira users on Sprints, Work Items, Projects, and other Jira fields, within a specific date range:

 1) Worklogs 1 (2).png

Our app also allows you to browse your time tracking reports within the handy dashboard gadget:

Moreover, it is worth adding that if the time was previously logged into the issue through Jira, then these logs should already be visible in Worklogs, as it makes use of Jira's native time tracking features.

Feel free to try it out on our marketplace page!

All the best,
Tomasz
