Total story points not dropping on version report when stories are removed

Hi.

My boardA filters on all issues with a FixVersion of 3.1 and boardB filters on all issues with a FixVersion of 3.1.99. All issues on both boards have story points assigned. I changed the FixVersion of some stories in boardA from FixVersion 3.1 to FixVersion 3.1.99 which removed them from boardA. However, I did not see a drop in the total story points in the version report for boardA nor a change in the completion date to an earlier date, both of which I would have expected. What would explain that?
