Tracking work split between 2 or more users within a ticket

Sidhant Sharma January 24, 2022

Hi All,

What is the best way in which one can track work in case 2 or more users have worked on the same ticket? For eg. if Person A started work on Ticket 1 and fell ill after putting in 3 hours of work. Person B then takes over the ticket and completes the work in another 5 hours. How can this be effectively tracked?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Hi @Sidhant Sharma

You can try the following solutions:

1. The simplest way to look for assignee changes is ticket history in the activity section. It looks like that:

Solutions from the Marketplace developed by my team:

2. Issue History – journal for every past company's activity, including assignee changes.

3. Time in Status for Jira Cloud and Assignee Time report where you can see time in column each assignee has spent for the same ticket.

Let me know if it will be helpful.

Hi @Sidhant Sharma

As an alternative to get the time spent data, you can try out our plugin

Agile Tools : Epic Tree, Links Tree, Time in Status & Worklogs

The app provides the following features.

Worklogs & Time tracking Report :- Track time spent by resources with multiple filters / category / grouping features. Export to csv format is also available. You can filter based on worklogs time period as well.

Along with this there are multiple other features like Time in Status, Links Hierarchy, Epic Hierarchy etc which the app provides.
