Traffic Light setting lost on page refersh

I am using the Traffic Light plug-in from Frank Polsheit. I am able to edit a traffic light in an issue and set it to Reg, Amber, or Green, then check the green check mark to confirm the change. However, when I refresh the screen or modify another field in the issue the changes to the traffic light are removed and I am left with a blank light.

I'm new to Jira, so I am hoping there is something simple that I am missing.

Don't know this plugin but I see that they offer support, so I would say you have better chances to get an answer by raising a ticket directly to the vendor: https://polscheit.atlassian.net/browse/TRAFFIC
