My question is 2-fold, I created a bunch of issues from the navigation pane: using the Create Button next to the More drop-down. I see them all under the Issues tab on the left side menu using the tab below Reports and above Components. How can I transfer these issues to the Backlog tab at the top of this menu. Currently, the Backlog is empty. I could recreate them all under the Backlog tab, but I hope that they can easily be moved.
Secondly, using JCI, I create issues automatically and they show under Issues. How can I ensure that they show on the Backlog.
Hello @Traysa Lee
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I don't see a Create button in the left-side navigation pane in the Jira DC instance with which I work, but perhaps that is because it is only at v9.4.
The Backlog (and board) are selecting issues based on a filter. So the first thing to check is if the issues you created fall within the scope of the backlog/board filter for the board that is currently displayed.
If you click on the Backlog option, do you see a button in the upper right corner labeled "Board"? Can you pull that down and select the Configure option?
That should take you to a page that displays general information about the board, like its name, administrators, and the Filter Query used to select issues.
Review the Filter Query information you see there, and compare it to the issues you have created. Make sure the issues match the criteria of the filter. If so, then they should display in the Backlog.
If the issues seem to match the filter but aren't being displayed, we'll need to dig a bit deeper.
I deleted the filter and just created a simple createdDate filter and the issues that I wanted appeared. Thanks.
