Trouble Adding a New Status to Custom Workflow in Jira Cloud - Any Solutions?

Hi Everyone,

I've been using Jira for my team's project management and have encountered an issue I can't seem to resolve. We're trying to customize our workflow to suit our specific project needs, but every time I attempt to add a new status, I get an error message.

Has anyone else faced this problem before? Could someone guide me on how to successfully add a new status to the workflow without encountering this error? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Jira Cloud, version XYZ, if that helps.

What error message are you getting?

Assuming it is "can't do this on a draft workflow", then the answer is that you'll have to take a copy of the workflow, edit the copy, then replace the association in the workflow scheme.
